French author Erwann Surcouf is a multitalented creator whose works never cease to surprise and amaze. His 2016 graphic novel Pouvoirpoint (Vide Cocagne) is a retro-futuristic saga recounting the tale of a graphic design intern taken aboard a spaceship. He then followed this up in 2017 with Mars Horizon (Delcourt), which imagines the first manned mission to Mars. His most recent work is the ambitious graphic novel The Sauroktones (Dargaud/Europe Comics), a post-apocalyptic coming of age story against a backdrop of terrible monsters taking over the earth.
