Robber was born in Strasbourg in 1971. He was six years old when he read his first story from the "Tif et Tondu" (Mop and Monkus in English) series, and it was his older brother Blutch who put it in his hands. Later on, Robber decided to devote himself to what, in his opinion, he does best: tell stories. This "Mop and Monkus" story is an artistic take on a beloved classic, and the release of the Europe Comics edition in 2020 marks the first time the characters have been published in English.
