Ludovic Rio started making comics at the Ecole supérieure de l’image (EESI) in Angoulême. During his studies, he created, along with five other illustrators, the independent publishing house Polystyrène, for which he and Adrien Thiot-Rader created the experimental book Lignes Noires. Thereafter, he contributed to the Télescope d’Amiens, a local digital newspaper, for which he created a number of illustrated reports. He is now an illustrator and graphic designer and collaborates with the journal Fakir. He illustrated 24h sur la ZAD (Vide Cocagne) in 2013, and, most recently, Aion (Dargaud; Europe Comics 2019), his first complete graphic novel.
