Comic book author Luc Cromheecke (°1961) studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He used to work for Robbedoes/Spirou, the legendary comic magazine. When the Dutch version of the magazine ceased to exist, he continued working for Spirou as a staff member. He is known best for his series Plunk!, Ben de Boswachter, Tom Carbon, Taco Zip and Roboboy. His work is also published in the newspapers De Volkskrant and De Morgen. Many of his comic books have been translated into French, Spanish, Indonesian, Danish and German.
