Frédéric Maffre

Frederic Maffre was born in Castres in 1979. He grew up surrounded by his father's comic book collection and started writing as a teenager, mostly dreadful movie scripts, cinema being his other passion. After his degree in English literature, he moved to Paris, where he still lives, and kept writing various scripts, trying to improve his technique. In 2010 he started working with his brother Julien on an old idea, the story of a reclusive undertaker living in the Old West. The idea evolved into the Stern series (les editions Dargaud), with a first book published in 2015 and a fourth one expected for 2020.
