Denis Chetville was born in 1960 in Algeria. After studying the fine arts in Rouen (Normandy), Chetville began to publish stories in various comics magazines (Vécu, Tintin, etc.). Then he changed course and went to work for the textile industry, creating logos and drawings for many clothing lines. In 2005, he came back to the comics universe, creating the illustrations for the series Sam Lawry and Sienna (Bamboo). In 2017 and 2018 he illustrated the series Crimes gourmands with publisher Delcourt. His latest work is on another gourmet series, the drama Le Maître chocolatier, published by Le Lombard (The Master Chocolatier, Europe Comics), alongside authors Éric Corbeyran and Bénédicte Gourdon.
