Christian Cornia was born in Modena (Italy) in 1975. When he was four, he decided that he would be a comics artist, and not an astronaut or a fireman like other children. In 1996, he attended the Nuova Eloise School of Comics in Bologna, but he is largely self-taught. In 2011, along with other Italian artists, he founded the cultural association Dr.INK, which produces its own illustrated books. He works with the international agency of illustrators Advocate Art, and he is the character design teacher of the animation course of the Scuola Internazionale di Comics of Reggio Emilia. In addition, he is part of the Italian community of Urban Sketchers. He has created artwork and characters for publishers, advertising, video games, and role-playing games, and works as a colorist for the French market and as an inker for Marvel. He has worked on Scooby Doo in Italy for Piemme Edizioni, and he also works for Warner Bros in the US on projects that include Scooby Doo as well. In 2017, in a return to comics, he and Giorgio Salati created the graphic novel Brina for Italian publisher Tunué (Papercutz in English, 2019). Currently, he's working on projects for various clients, including Insight Editions, while continuing to prepare new comics and trying to enter into the world of animation as a character designer.
