Flemish publisher Ballon Media was officially created in 2008, which marked the beginning of the joint activity of De Ballon, a publisher of children’s books with more than twenty years’ experience, book distributor Balloon Books and the comic label Mezzanine, under a new, common umbrella.

Today, Ballon Media continues to develop its activities across three entities: children’s books publisher Ballon Kids which has sold rights in more than 100 countries, comics publisher Ballon Comics, publishing in Flemish part of the catalogs of the biggest Franco-Belgian comics publishers and at the same time producing its own original works, and book distributor Ballon Media Sales. Every year, some 2,500,000 Ballon books are sold in 104 countries and in 68 languages.
