Ivo Milazzo

Born in 1947 in Tortona, Italy, Ivo Milazzo had an interest in the graphic arts from very early on. When he met scriptwriter Giancarlo Berardi in 1970, he decided to head towards comics. He illustrated his first story in 1971, Il Cieco, published in the magazine Horror. In 1974, Milazzo and Berardi joined to create the western series Ken Parker. Sergio Bonelli, their publisher, then offered them their own magazine in 1977, which was published until May 1984. In 1982, in the magazine Orient Express, Milazzo adapted Foundation, a novel by Asimov, under the pen name Maurizio Mantero, which actually represents the team of Berardi, Milazzo, and Calegari. Starting in 1997, Milazzo went to work on the classic western series Tex for Bonelli. More recently, he illustrated the fourth volume of Des Dieux et des Hommes (Dargaud; Of Gods and Men, Europe Comics), alongside Jean-Pierre Dionnet and Peter Snejbjerg.
