Stéphane Brangier

Stéphane Brangier, alias Siro, was born in 1969. He grew up surrounded by comics, and it wasn’t long before he started making his own drawings and stories. Science-fiction is his forte, as can be seen in his first series Master Volume (Zenda, 1992), later published in the American magazine Heavy Metal. In 1995 he created Polka (Dargaud), a futuristic thriller in five volumes written by Didier Convard. At the same time, he was an illustrator for the press and children’s books. In 2007 and 2008, alongside Pierre Boisserie and Éric Stalner, he took part in the last two episodes of La croix de Cazenac (Dargaud). Together with his friend Pierre Boisserie he created the third cycle of La Banque (Dargaud), as well as the documentary graphic novel Cigarettes, le dossier sans filtre (Dargaud; Cigarettes: A Filterless Report, Europe Comics). His most recent work includes the thrilling two-part adventure L'Or des Belges (Dargaud; The Gold Chase, Europe Comics), against the backdrop of World War II.
