Kim Duchateau is one of the talented young Belgian comic artists who first came to attention in the 1990s. His style is absurd, shocking, and sharp, which especially comes to play in his cartoons about the sexy but crazy young woman Esther Verkest and the equally twisted little girl Aldegonne. His cartoons have officially decorated the websites of the Flemish public TV channel VRT as well as its commercial rival VTM. In 2015, he was one of the six Flemish artists to draw a comic book starring Willy Vandersteen's Suske en Wiske (Spike & Suzy in English) for S.O.S. Children's Villages, based on a story by a celebrity. In 2016 Kim and Hanco Kolk created De Man van Nu (In the Moment, Europe Comics). The same year Kim and Urbanus made an exclusive two-page comic strip for the magazine Stripglossy. In 2017 he received the honor of making a completely new Nero story, based on Marc Sleen's eponymous comic strip.
